Brief Job Description:
The primary responsibility for this role will be coordinating repairs to the site facilities and Infra-structure, management of contractors and completing small capital projects.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
This role is responsible for:
- Scheduling, parts procurement, permits and in-field follow up of contractor tasks. (Roofs, HVAC, Overhead doors, Utility services, Road repair, Railroad, Plumbing, etc.).
- Small maintenance capital projects – (Sewer repairs, Roof replacements, Steam trap upgrades, etc.).
- Assist is site & area shutdown planning.
- Ensures facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines.
- Stockroom management – responsible for inventory, critical spares, auditing and budgetary management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Mechanical Aptitude – Testing
- Knowledge of HVAC, roof, roadway
- Time management and organizational skills
- Self-starter – Shows initiative
- Fitness for duty (stairs, ladders, walking, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Oracle, etc.)
Working Conditions
- 50% office environment / 50% field work
- Field work will include climbing ladders and steps, accessing roofs/mezzanines, walking up to 2 miles per day and working in production areas.
Education, Training, and Experience Required
- High school or college education
- 3+ years management experience preferred
- Computer skills (pivot tables, Microsoft Project/Excel) preferred
- Maintenance and/or construction experience required
